Update on Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) including the upcoming 2020 Conference and AGM
03/13/2020
CSNM is actively monitoring the situation around coronavirus disease (COVID-19) around the world and in Canada. We want to ensure you that your health, safety and well-being remain our number one priority during this difficult time. We applaud and appreciate all our members for the work they do in the LTC and healthcare industries and know how important you all are too so many Canadians and their families across the Country.
The well-being of our members, volunteers and all stakeholders remain our top priority. We will continue to follow the relevant guidelines provided by both Health Canada and the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the proper management of this issue and we will adapt our response as the situation evolves. The Government of Canada provides regular updates and guidance on COVID-19 on its website, which is updated daily. Another useful resource on the Guidance for the Healthcare Sector can be found here. Also please COVID-19 is an incredibly dynamic situation so we ask for your patience and understanding as we, as an Association, learn how to best navigate this pandemic while continuing to provide up to date information and resources.
In regards, to our upcoming Conference and AGM scheduled for June 17th – 19th, 2020 in Toronto, the Conference Planning team, along with the CSNM Board of Directors has been reviewing this at length. At this time, our hope is that we will be able to proceed in three months’ time with business as usual and hold our Conference. In the meantime, CSNM adheres to safe travel and responsible decision making, and we recommend that attendees hold off on booking travel arrangements at this time unless you have consulted with your travel partner on appropriate cancellation/change options. Also, please note that our Early Bird rate, scheduled to end on March 31st will be extended and this date communicated to you once final decisions are in place.
Our hotel partner, Pan Pacific is committed to the well being of all our attendees. Click here to read more on how the Pan Pacific is responding to COVID-19.
In the case of a cancellation or rescheduling of this event, CSNM will immediately inform attendees, volunteers, guests and other relevant parties.
