Silent Auction – Proceeds to the Daily Food Bank Catering Kitchen - $2,541  www.dailybread.ca

The summer months are extremely slow in public donations and the support of CSNM members will allow us to purchase and provide 2,541 meals to adults, seniors and children. Our client numbers go up in the summer because kids no longer rely on school breakfast programs and more families rely on the food bank.

Daily Bread divides donations equally to all our services. Please rest assured that your donations will be used to provide food to those in Toronto and to purchase donations we are low in right now. Daily Bread distributes non-perishable and perishable donations to 140 food banks across the city and also prepares meals onsite and sends those to shelters and hostels. On average, we hand out 58,000 food boxes each month and prepare 3,500 meals each week.

50/50 Draw – Proceeds to Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund  - $765

To say the earthquake that struck northwest of Kathmandu, Nepal was destructive would be an understatement.

As strong aftershocks continue, people forced from their homes live outside in fear. Total numbers of affected remain unknown at this stage.

But where there is compassion and a commitment to help, there is hope for recovery.
Because you generously chose to make a gift in support of those affected in Nepal, you have directly contributed to the immediate and ongoing response by the Red Cross.

Red Cross workers and volunteers continue to provide aid, including shelter and clean water, while continuing to offer first aid and psychosocial
support.

As I write this letter to you, our mobile field hospital is delivering critical, life-saving care in the hardest hit areas in Nepal.
