Temporary Part-Time Food Service Supervisor, Nutrition

The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for day to day operations that ensure timely, safe, and accurate meal service with a focus on promoting an excellent meal experience and good nutritional intake. The position will be assigned to work at two of our campuses.  The Charlton campus provides treatment for individuals with a variety of acute medical and surgical conditions.  The West 5th campus provides treatment for individuals with a variety of mental health conditions. 

Patient Food Services serves approximately 2100 patient meals daily.

This position provides direct supervision to frontline unionized food service staff and oversees meal service that includes offering our patients choice at bedside or in a dining room setting.  As well, experience overseeing ware washing, nourishment preparation and distribution, inventory management and food distribution between two hospital campuses is required.  

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Community College Diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition/Food Services
• Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM)
• Experience with dietary software (CBORD or similar) and thorough knowledge of therapeutic diets
• Current Advanced Food Safety Certificate

HOURS OF WORK:
Rotating shifts at both hospital campuses, days and afternoons, including weekends and holidays;

shift lengths vary and are up to 12 hours. We are seeking a food service supervisor with the flexibility to work additional shifts if required.
