Regulatory Affairs Specialist (FOOD Mfg.)

Working experience with Regulatory Affairs pertaining to Canada and US is a MUST
Key accountabilities:
• Project management
– Create project templates that assign departmental tasks to meet customer timelines with Sr. Director’s approval
• Communicate project launch timelines & project trackers to internal customers on a weekly basis
• Participate in weekly project priority meetings
• Handle all customer communications (other than R&D sample), e.g. submission of costing, RFP acceptance, regulatory & packaging
requirements, etc. with Sr Director’s approval
• Works closely with packaging suppliers to ensure all customer requirements are met
• Co-ordinate customer trials & 1st productions including the internal meetings prior to event
• Co-ordinate discontinuations from Sales including DNO assignment & obtaining liabilities of Finished Goods & Raw materials & Packaging and
provide to Sr Director
• Co-ordinate all customer requests related to 3rdparty nutritional and analytical testing
• Works directly with the technical coordinators and act as back-up for the following responsibilities:
Inputting data into customer systems
Completion of finished goods specification by obtaining data from R&D and technical staff;
Completion of ingredient declarations for R&D samples and approved products;
Completion of nutritional facts (Genesis) for R&D samples and approved products;
Preparation of documentation for plant trials and first productions (age of ingredients & other reports);
Perform regulatory reviews of finished products and labels
Obtaining supplier documentation for ingredients & packaging
Assist in the plant preparation for all audits when regulatory documentation is required
• Completes time reports to support SRED
• Approves label artwork along with the 2 technical coordinators and the Sr Director
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education:
University degree in food science or related science fields
Experience:
Food Industry and North American Regulatory requirements; Certifications – Organic, non-GMO, etc. IS A MUST
