Student Scholarships

National Scholarship Program

The Canadian Society of Nutrition Management provides Scholarships to support individuals as they work towards a diploma in Foodservice and Nutrition Management. The winners of the scholarships will be announced in September of each year. Only the successful applicants will be contacted by the CSNM.

Application Information

Applicants must be a 'Student' member of CSNM . Applicants are scored on their scholastic ability, work experience within the foodservice and nutrition management industry, and their demonstrated commitment to the industry.  Please ensure your application package includes all documents listed in the required criteria below.  The Scholarship Application Package needs to be submitted to the CSNM Office by July 31st .  

Criteria:

  1. Applicants must be a CSNM Student Member
  2. Completed Application form must be postmarked or received at the CSNM Office by July 31st
  3. Transcripts from completed courses must be included in the application package
  4. Must have a GPA above 3.7 (90-92%)
  5. Faculty Verification Form must be completed by the Program Director stating that the student has completed 50% of the Accredited Program
  6. Reference letters from any two of the following:
    • Current or Past Employer
    • Mentor from Work Placement
    • Volunteer Co-Ordinator
    • College Faculty Member
  7. Current Resume
  8. 500-750 word essay including:  work/volunteer experience, what inspired you to pursue a career in Nutrition Management,  why you chose to become a Student Member and your Career Goals
