Arranging For A CSNM Examination

 

Step One:

Apply for Active Membership.

  • Complete an application form for Active membership online at www.csnm.ca

  • Include the following:

    • copy of diploma

    • copy of transcript of marks

    • $60.00 non-refundable application processing fee

OR

Mail your application package to:

  • Include the following:

Step Two:

The application package will be reviewed by the Admissions/Membership Committee for approval to write the exam.

Once approved for the exam, you will be scheduled into the next available exam date, and an email will be sent advising you of your approval and the exam date you are scheduled for.

 
Step Three:

The approval email will advise you of your exam date and will also notify you of the deadline date to submit the Examination Fees

An exam candidate may reschedule their exam to the next available exam date,  The cost to re-schedule the exam is $50.00 plus tax. (ONLY ONE change in exam date will be allowed).   Please note if you choose to use reschedule your exam, and then for some reason are unable to write the exam on the new exam date, you will not be allowed to change the date a second time.  At that point your file would be closed and if you choose you can re-apply at a later date, and pay any applicable fees.

You can submit the Exam Fee payment by one of the following methods:

  • Pay the exam fee online, by using the log-in credentials emailed to you.

  • Pay by e-transfer, send the e-transfer notification to csnm@csnm.ca  If you need to create a security question, please let us know by separate email what the question/answer is so that the payment can be processed.

  • Pay by Cheque or Money Order and mail into the CSNM Office. Please make cheque or money order payable to Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.  Please allow three to five days for mailing. The mailing address is as follows:

After you have been approved for the exam, access to an online practice exam, will be sent to you approximately 3 weeks prior to your scheduled exam date.

The set exam time is from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm EST

If you decide not to write or re-write the exam, cancel it, and wish a refund of the exam fees paid, please note that there will be a $50.00 non-refundable administration charge.

If you wish to cancel or postpone your exam within 5 business days of the exam date you are scheduled for, you may be subject to a $50 Re-Scheduling Fee.

 

Step Four:

Study!

Study resources are posted on the website.

If you cancel your exam within 5 Business Days of your scheduled exam date, you may be charged a $50.00 Re-scheduling Fee.

Any Special accomodations that the Exam Candidate might require needs to be arranged with the CSNM Office and the Examinations Portfolio Manager ahead of time.   You may also have to provide support documentation.

Notice of Exam Results will be sent to you in writing 4 to 6 weeks after the initial examination date.
