So as an employer, why should you want a Nutrition Manager who is a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management ? Each member has a commitment to staying current in their profession and to invest time in continuous lifelong learning. To maintain membership each individual must achieve 8 Continuing Education points per year. For the Certified Nutrition Manager, there is a requirement for 16 Continuing Education points per year for a higher level of development and show of commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
Members of the CSNM are committed to a Code of Ethics to deliver safe, quality food to their customers each and every day. The education and knowledge of members encompasses sound nutritional and food safety knowledge, financial management, business expertise, human resources skills and more. You, the employer, will benefit by improved management of your Dining and Nutrition Services departments and a confidence that your residents and customers are receiving the best on a daily basis.

At CSNM, we encourage employers to employ Nutrition Managers who are members of CSNM and to support their managers in participation in the Society. We are always available to answer any questions you may have or provide you with more information.
