Food Service Coordinator

 

Under direction of the Director of Food Services, the Food Service Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activities related to production and services of meals and nourishment for the Residents, staff and external clients of the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Home, Heritage Place and the Terraces at Heritage Square

 

Qualifications:           

 

 

College diploma in Food and Nutrition Management;

Member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management;

Current Food Safety Certification Required;

Minimum 2 years’ experience with Ordering using Sysco Source/Complete Purchasing;

Experience with Synergy Menu Management Program;

Experience with Complete Purchasing Menu Management Program an asset;

Minimum 3 years’ experience conducting Clinical Nutritional Assessments using RAI/MDS;

Minimum 3 years’ experience with documenting/charting in Point Click Care; 

Experience in auditing in all areas of the Food Services Department;

Minimum 3 years’ experience with interviewing/hiring and providing direction/mentoring/coaching to all front line Dietary staff;

Ability to work independently and as a team member, within the department and with all other disciplines;

Ability to address concerns brought forward by staff/residents and family members;

Thorough knowledge and experience with Computer programs, including Word, Excel;

Able to manage time well and multitask;

Excellent written/oral communication skills;

Experience addressing staff call ins and covering shifts according to Union Collective Agreement;

Thorough knowledge and experience with the RQI Process;

Thorough knowledge of all required Legislation pertaining to the Food Services Department- MOHLTC, Public Health, MOL;

Competent Supervision Training through a Safety Group an asset       .

                         

Status:                        Permanent Full Time

 

Hours of Work:         30 hours/week
